West Wales Wedding Photography at Woodhouse Barn
Couples shots filmed at the Woodhouse barn in Rosemarket, West Wales.
Cool riders, Clare & Josh’s wedding at Woodhouse Barn in West Wales.
Is there anything cooler than arriving at your wedding on a motorbike? Wind in your hair, sun on your face, Cool Rider playing in your head as you pull up to the ceremony… Just us?
Well, groom Josh fully embraced the moment, rolling into Woodhouse Barn in style on his motorbike. Matched only by his bride Clare, who cruised in behind him in a vintage racing green Morris Minor 1000. A power couple entrance if we’ve ever seen one—and yes, both vehicles made fantastic props for their couple portraits later against the rich red barn walls.
Clare & Josh’s “May the Fourth be with you” wedding (yes, really) was held on the sunniest May day you could wish for in West Wales. The ceremony took place outdoors at The Hen House, a beautifully rustic, octagon-shaped wooden shelter—once home to actual hens. It’s full of charm and surrounded by lush Pembrokeshire countryside, the kind of relaxed setting that fits a no-stress wedding day perfectly.
If the weather had turned, the couple had a solid Plan B: the main barn, with its 360° balcony, vaulted ceilings, and characterful wooden interiors. But honestly, with skies that blue and sunshine like that? It was full steam ahead for an al fresco “I do.”
Woodhouse Barn also features an on-site Bell Tent Village for glamping guests. No taxis needed—just stroll from the dancefloor straight to your bed. We love venues like this that let everyone fully relax and settle into the celebrations.
We first met Clare & Josh at their pre-wedding shoot in Snuff Mills, Bristol—a lush, leafy spot where they got to ease into the camera and have a giggle ahead of the big day. Come wedding time, they were complete naturals.
The whole day was full of joy, humour, a bit of Star Wars nerdery, and so much love. From the motorbike entrance to dancing under the stars, this was a wedding that had them written all over it.
Their kind words after the day had us both beaming:
“We used Flashbulb for our wedding in May. Amy & Jess captured our day perfectly, they made us feel so relaxed. Our pictures are so beautiful, natural and our video has made everyone cry. Now we can relive our special day over and over again. Thank you so much xx”
It was our first time shooting a wedding at Woodhouse Barn in Rosemarket, and it definitely won’t be our last. Scroll on to see the highlights from Clare & Josh’s amazing day—and if Cool Rider is now stuck in your head… well, sorry (not sorry).
Let me know if you want this broken down into social captions, a meta description, or a headline variation with a more Star Wars or Cool Rider spin!

Why did you pick Flashbulb to film/photograph your day? : We wanted a photograph and videographer that worked alongside each other. We found Flashbulb online and once i met with Amy, I was sold :) Loved looking through their pics of previous weddings and knew that they were right for us.
Where did you get married? And what made you choose that location(s): Woodhouse Barn, Rosemarket, Pembrokeshire. Josh was against any church wedding and we both wanted something relaxed. Rosemarket is where i grew up, we had never been to a wedding at the Barn but once we looked around we knew it was the vibe we wanted. Loved the layout and the hen house where the ceremony took place. Loved that people didn’t have to travel between ceremony and reception and that the bar prices were the same as the local pub.
Wedding suppliers involved:
Flowers~ Flowers by Annabell // Hair and Make up~ Julie John // Dress~ Timeless Elegance, Cardiff // Suits~ Dress for the Occasion // Flower wall~ Dress up your Event , Llanelli // Band~ The Black Jacks, Bristol, Richer Music.
What wedding vibe/theme did you go for?: Chilled, relaxed and fun :)
How did you meet?: We met in 2007, both drunk in Subway doorway on a night out in Haverfordwest.
Added each other on bebo (before Facebook became a thing). Josh’s mum drove us to our first date KOokabar , Tenby as Josh was too tight to pay for a taxi.
Been together ever since.
Moved to Bristol in 2012, bought our first house together in 2015. Had our son Maddox in Feb 2017, in the Aug Josh proposed, hed planned to do it in Nice on the bank holiday weekend but he got too excited/nervous and ended up doing it in the garage on a random Sunday afternoon. Not the most romantic lol.
What happens next as newlyweds? : We flew to Sicily on the Monday straight after the wedding for 10 days. We hired a car and traveled around. I got pregnant on our honeymoon and am currently writing this 4 days overdue and the size of a whale. No more babies after this one. The next 5 years will consist of nice holidays and maybe a bigger house!
